Parks & Recreation Outdoor Volunteer

Help make the community more beautiful!

Love volunteering outdoors? Mountain Brook Parks & Recreation needs your help painting the Watkins Trail Bridge on June 10th at 10AM-12PM! Meet librarians and Parks & Rec staff at the bridge for more instructions. Paints, brushes, and snacks will be provided.

All volunteers must wear old clothes (shirt, long pants) and closed-toed shoes you don't mind getting mess on. Please bring the following materials to the service program on June 10:

• Sun protection (sunscreen, sunglasses, hat)
• Bug spray
• Filled water bottle

OPTIONAL materials to bring: gloves, cooling towel, lunch

This program is for students rising to grades 7-12. Registration is APPRECIATED. Got questions? Email young adult librarians Michelle Cheng and Gracie Roth at teens@oneallibrary.org. In the event of rain or severe weather on June 10, the outdoor service program will be rescheduled to Monday, June 17 at 10AM-12PM. The Parks & Recreation volunteer event is part of our Summer of Service program series, so you will receive volunteer hours for your participation.
