Neuroscience Cafe is a lecture series provided by UAB's Comprehensive Neuroscience Center in partnership with the Emmet O'Neal Library.
Dementia with Lewy Bodies (DLB) is the second most common cognitive disorder after Alzheimer’s disease. DLB even shares some symptoms with Parkinson’s disease, so it is often misdiagnosed. Tonight, our speakers from UAB’s Neuroscience Café, Marissa Natelson Love, MD and Laura Volpicelli-Daley, PhD, will explain differences in types of dementia as well as the typical symptoms, disease course, treatment, and pathophysiology of DLB.
